The redirect module makes it possible to redirect existing or non-existent URLs to an internal or external web page. That way, a particular web page is accessible from multiple URLs. If the visitor enters the redirected URL into his web browser, a page with another address will automatically open.

For example, redirecting or redirecting pages is used to communicate shorter URLs and resolving the broken link problem when a web page was moved.

More specifically, you can use a redirected URL:

  • Go to the Paddle Store via the back end of your website
  • Scroll to the redirect module and click Install

  • The Redirect configuration also takes place in the Paddle Store
  • Click setup to configure the module
  • Click "New redirect"
  • Enter "From (unique URL)" which link should be automatically redirected. Just enter the subpath, that's what's after the first slash ('/').
  • Fill in "Target (redirected URL)" which page the visitor should eventually see. If it's an internal link, just fill in the subpath. If you link to an external page, enter the full URL
  • The redirect status will default to "301 Moved Permanently".
  • Click "Save"
